Iraklia is one of the Small Cyclades island complex, in close proximity to Schinoussa, Koufonissi, Donoussa, Amorgos, Paros and Naxos. There is a daily connection with almost all these island by boat. During winter, the two settlements of the islands, Panagia, (Chora) and Agios Georgios (port) occupy 90 inhabitants.
Iraklia is ideal for quietness and relaxation. Still undiscovered, a true Cycladic gem, offers the ideal vacation for nature lovers and peace seekers, hard to find nowadays in the evolving world. Locals are friendly, traditional people, who welcome visitors and make them feel they are at home. Night life is not vibrant, however, one can enjoy quite walks in the unspoiled nature, dive in the clear blue waters, or just relax under the sun.
On the island there are taverns, coffee shops, bars, mini markets, rend a bike shop, travel agency, medical center and ATM machine, but there is no gas station and bank.
Three days a week, there is a boat from and to Piraeus, and also is daily connected to Naxos with “Skopelitis Express” ferry.
